Position Description: The VPC and WVWVAF seek an experienced, talented individual to join our team as the Executive Assistant to the President in our Washington, DC office. The Executive Assistant will serve as the receptionist for the organization and conserve the president’s time as her professional and personal assistant; act as liaison between the president, staff, and consultants; responsibilities include: scheduling and facilitating meetings, some document management, and administrative and personal support.
Skills/Qualifications: Experience with scheduling either on the Hill or working for a nonprofit organization is required. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is flexible and comfortable dealing with evolving and competing priorities. Level-headedness, a pleasant attitude, and good judgment are critical requirements. A broad base of administrative skills, familiarity with presentation software and scheduling protocols, and a strong level of computer proficiency highly preferred. Applicants must be at least high school graduates (or equivalent) to be considered.
